3rd Model Indian Governance Conference

Model Indian Governance (MIG) is a trailblazing initiative which replicates the Indian Parliament, its working and proceedings. It simulates committees in the Ministries, Planning Commission and regional bodies under which participants act as delegates to discuss and debate pressing national issues.

It laid its roots in 1st International Youth Forum for Policy, Change and Development 2012 and witnessed 100 potential delegates speaking on policy issues, discussing the framework and ultimately leading to youth awareness. It was formed to promote sustainability of knowledge in the areas of policy design and framework by enriching and inculcating acumen for policy design and debate inside contemporary generation. The 2nd Model Indian Governance was a three-day conference to be held from 16th to 18th December 2012 at Greater Noida. The event was graced by national delegates and eminent personalities as speakers from different verticals of education, politics, environment, journalism, energy and business.

The Model Indian Governance witnessed Guest speakers like Shri Manohar Parikkar, Honourable Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Honourable Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Government of India and MP (Lok Sabha) from Thiruvananthapuram, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Honourable MP (Lok Sabha) from Hamirpur, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Honourable MP (Lok Sabha) from Bikaner and Shri Rajendra Agarwal, Honourable MP (Lok Sabha) from Meerut.

Keynote Presentations

The Conclave will be graced by the presence of many distinguished and inspirational speakers from spheres of politics, business, academia, entertainment, journalism, sports and non-profit.

Delegate Presentations

Selected Delegates will be given an opportunity to present their research papers and speak on the following topics: Education, Entrepreneurship, Governance, Healthcare and Management.

Panel Discussions

All the delegates will be given an opportunity to speak, debate and question on the following topics during the panel discussions: Youth Participation in Democracy and Policy Framework, Youth Empowerment and Social Inclusion – Active Citizenship, Youth and the Emerging Role of New Media.

Business Plan Competition and Mentoring

The delegates can pitch in their business plans to various entrepreneurs and experts from fields of finance, marketing, operations and human resources management. Selected Delegates will get mentorship support from experts which include successful entrepreneurs and professors from IIMs and IITs.

Leadership Action Plan Workshop and Conversation

The delegates who wish to polish their leadership, civic engagement and management skills can signup for the Leadership Action Plan Workshop and one-on-one conversation with Aditya Singh, Chairman of Alexis Group and Adhrit Foundation.

It is basically a road map which integrates dreams, activities and goals of an individual. A life map enables people to be productive and helps them achieve their dreams.

The Confession and Message Game provides an opportunity to the delegates to privately confess their darkest secrets and share a message for any particular delegate, OC member or group of people.

The Gala Night and After Party provides the much need entertainment and felicitates interaction between the delegates and organizing committee.
